MOSCOW NEVER SLEEPS is a multi-narrative drama that dives headlong into the volatile intersections of contemporary Moscow and the intimate lives of five people. Over the course of one day, their stories weave through Moscow's choked cityscape, testifying to the courage and humanity of the Russian spirit and the unrestrained energy of Europe's biggest city.

Based on the universal theme of the hidden bonds that connects us all, MOSCOW NEVER SLEEPS is intended for worldwide as well as Russian theatrical release. Written by Westerner who has coming to Moscow for 20 years, the film’s point of view is intended to be new, fresh and different. The film aims to reveal the hidden depths of Russian people, to subvert their national stereotypes in the international media, and to show Moscow in a way that it's never been shown before.

MOSCOW NEVER SLEEPS has been validated by the top acting talent in Russia as well as film marketing and distribution experts from the International Market. The project is being funded by private equity finance, the Irish Film Board and it is the first Russian-majority-funded film to be selected for Eurimages funding. Production on the project started in September 2012 and will continue in April and May 2013. It is shot entirely on location in Moscow with post-production to take place in Ireland. The film is due for completion in December 2013 and will be launched at the Cannes Film Festival 2014. The total budget is $3 million. The film consists of five interweaving stories. The trailer above is cut from footage already shot from one of those stories.
